Logos | LaLigaLaLiga: The race for the La Liga crown is heating up at just the right moment. Barcelona’s Tuesday win means that no matter the result of this game, the Catalan giants will lead the La Liga table going into the World Cup break. With no other viable challenger, this is a dead heat between Spain’s two best teams… again. Read on to find out whether Madrid will win to put some pressure on their biggest rivals or lose again.

Real Madrid 0-0 Cadiz: Liga leaders draw a blank as strugglers take surprise point at Bernabeu - Eurosport

Real Madrid vs Cadiz: Monday’s loss to Rayo Vallecano has to hurt, especially as Barcelona promptly took advantage, despite a red card. Now the onus is on Real Madrid to reply and finish the first half of the campaign strongly. Madrid’s captain and talisman, Karim Benzema, is expected to miss this game as well due to an injury so the onus will be on Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio to lead the attack.

Prediction: Real Madrid’s home record (6th-best in the league) is somewhat underwhelming, but compared to Cadiz’s 16th-best away record, Los Blancos will be confident of a victory here.

Our picks:

  • Real Madrid to win @ 1.20
  • Over 8.5 corners @ 1.47
  • Real Madrid to score over 2.5 goals @ 1.82

EFL Cup - WikipediaEFL: Just as we predicted, yesterday’s EFL fixtures brought a shock or two as the two North London rivals, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs lost to weaker teams. Can that theme continue tonight or will Manchester United avenge Sunday’s win against an impressive-looking Aston Vila team still enjoying their new manager bounce?

Manchester United vs Aston Villa: Live stream, TV channel, kick-off time & where to watch | Goal.com UK

Manchester United vs Aston Villa: The Red Devils will be eager to bounce back with a win here for several reasons: to avenge Sunday’s loss, to end the first part of the campaign on a high and to make sure that a winnable trophy remains firmly within reach.

The loss of Raphael Varane and Antony will still hurt but the Red Devils should still have enough to win at home. Aston Villa will be eager to win as well to prove Sunday was not a fluke and to progress to the next round of a competition Unai Emery, their new manager will be eager to win.

Prediction: Manchester United will play better, especially as Bruno Fernandez is set to return. That rearguard does not seem capable of guaranteeing a clean sheet, however so they will need to outscore Villa to win here. Expect a high-scoring game.

Our picks:

  • Over 3.5 goals @ 2.87
  • Both teams to score @ 1.68
  • Over 3.5 away corners @ 1.49

Italian Serie A logo and symbol, meaning, history, PNG, brandSerie A: Even the most pessimistic Napoli fan must be excited now. Their team is 8 points clear at the summit of the Serie A table and Juventus, so often their bogey team, is out of the running already. That being said, even if the Old Lady cannot win the League this season, finishing in the top four is still attainable and teams like Lazio are who they’ll have to challenge for a Champions League slot.

Preview: Lazio vs. Monza - prediction, team news, lineups - Sports Mole

Lazio vs Monza: When you compare Lazio, one of the highest-scoring teams in the division to Monza, one that has struggled to score goals this season and has already let in almost as many goals as Lazio have scored, the outcome is almost a recipe for disaster for the lesser team.

The home side are third for a reason and will be eager to win against the 15th-best team in the division and put daylight between them and the chasing pack.

Prediction: A home win is the most likely scenario today and the Roman team will be eager to score as much as possible to pad their goal difference as well.

Our picks:

  • Lazio to win @ 1.63
  • Over 2.5 goals @ 1.92
  • Over 5.5 home corners @ 1.86

Serie A - Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo non basta col Verona: Barak fa 1-1 al 77' - Eurosport

Hellas Verona vs Juventus: A game against the worst team in the division would be three easy points for Juventus in normal circumstances. But these are anything but normal circumstances. Juventus sit in 7th place in December, 13 points behind the leaders but can somehow still jump as high as 4th place with a win here.

Dusan Vlahovic is back in training but this game might have come too soon for him while Paul Pogba remains out with a long-term meniscus injury.

Prediction: If the Old Lady cannot win this game, it’s time to start looking for a replacement for Max Allegri.

Our picks:

  • Juventus to win @ 1.85
  • Over 1.5 goals @ 1.34
  • Over 4.5 away corners @ 1,54
