Sunday betting tips and match previews

After calling 6/8 games accurately for Saturday’s matches, here is our match and betting preview for Sunday’s games. Play as is or tweak a little to become a winner this weekend!

Arsenal vs Liverpool

Last season’s Arsenal would have been happy with a draw in this fixture. This season’s Arsenal will be disappointed with anything other than 3 points from tomorrow’s game. The home team have shown astounding progress in just two months and despite the current struggles of their opponent, will be seen as legitimate if they beat Liverpool.

The away side have endured a difficult season, shown by their uncharacteristically low EPL rank of 10th. After stabilizing things somewhat with a routine 2-0 win over Rangers, they’ll hope to beat the #2 team in the League to remind everyone exactly who they are.

Despite his stunning free kick against Rangers, Trent Alexander Arnold remains a weak link defensively. His direct opponent tomorrow, Gabriel Martinelli, has completed 20 dribbles this season, the most in the division. The player with the second-most completed dribbles this season is Gabriel Jesus, who loves to drift out to the left wing as well. The Liverpool right back could be in for a torrid afternoon tomorrow as the Arsenal forwards target his weaknesses specifically.

Our picks:

Arsenal to win/draw @ 1.50

Both teams to score @ 1.50

Everton vs Man United

When Everton face Manchester United tomorrow, they will do so hoping to extend the 7-match unbeaten run they’re currently on. Since Idrissa Gueye rejoined the Toffes from PSG, the midfield zone has looked more secure due to his partnership with Belgian battler, Amadou Onana, leaving Alex Iwobi to pull the strings further forward.

Manchester United can finally call upon a fully fit duo of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford for the first time in a long while. Expect both forwards to start on Sunday alongside either Anthony or the disappointing Jadon Sancho. Cristiano Ronaldo will be on the bench, unfortunately for fans of the Portuguese legend.

Since losing the first two games of the EPL campaign so spectacularly, the Reds have only lost to Manchester City in the league, scoring 11 goals in their last five games along the way. The opposing keeper, Jordan Pickford, has made the most saves per game (4.4) in the EPL this season and will be a formidable opponent but fans of the Red Devils will expect a win all the same.

Our picks:

Manchester United to win @ 2.10

Manchester United to win/draw @ 1.32

Both teams to score @ 1.65

Barcelona vs Celta Vigo

In a perfect world for Cules, their beloved Barcelona will stubbornly hold on to their current place atop the League until the end of the season. Unfortunately, football does not work that way and there will be plenty more twists and turns to come in this campaign. After losing to Inter last week, Xavi and his boys will be eager to return to winning ways with a win at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Celta Vigo don’t often win here but they’ll be buoyed by the memory of their recent 2-1 win at the Camp Nou last May. Just as they did that day, they will defend deep and hope to hit back on the break through Iago Aspas and Jorgen Larsen.

Our picks:

Barcelona to win @ 1.30

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.55

Barcelona to win, with a 1-goal handicap (0:1) @ 1.78

West Ham vs Fulham

West Ham will be disappointed with their current league standing and will regard this one as a must-win game against a side that has failed to keep a clean sheet in the last 7 games. Expect Michail Antonio to make way for summer signing, Gianluca Scammaca upfront tomorrow.

Alexander Mitrovic has now failed to score for two straight Premier League games. If he overcomes his ankle worry in time to play tomorrow, he will back himself to score against this West Ham team.

With Andreas Pereira pulling the strings for Fulham, expect regular passes in behind for the speedy Dan James to chase and pull back to the waiting Mitrovic.

Our picks:

Over 1.5 goals @ 1.26

West Ham to win @ 1.70

Both teams to score @ 1.72

Real Sociedad vs Villareal

The 7th and 9th best teams in Spain face off on Sunday with each aware that a win would lift them as high as 5th/6th place over Valencia (and Real Betis for Real Sociedad).

After La Real’s Europa League win against FC Sheriff, they will be confident heading into tomorrow’s fixture. As usual, David Silva will be the home team’s creator-in-chief as they seek to create chances for Alexander Sorloth.

Unai Emery’s side will also be confident of coming away from the Reale Arena with a positive result after Villareal’s 5-0 win against Austria Wien in the Europa League. The away side are also ranked first for big chances created in the Spanish La Liga. Add that to the 8 goals they’ve scored in their last five games and a Villareal goal is pretty much odds-on here.

Our picks:

Both teams to score @ 1.77

Anybody to win (12) @ 1.36

Over 1.5 goals @ 1.32

Udinese vs Atalanta

The chance to go top of the League will be at the hope of the home fans tomorrow as Udinese host Atalanta at the Dacia Arena. Both sides are separated by just one point, this is a real top-of-the-table clash.

The home side has won five games in a row, with empathic victories over Inter Milan and Roma in that period. They are NOT to be taken lightly by Atalanta and will be led by Portuguese forward Beto.

Since Atalanta broke into Serie A’s top rank four years ago, they’ve consistently been one of Italy’s most attacking teams, led by the veteran Gian Piero Gasperini. A win tomorrow, would take them top of the league, at least until Napoli play later tomorrow. They’ll be confident here, too since they’re unbeaten in their last 9 games against this opponent. In that period, they’ve won 7 times and drawn just twice.

Our picks:

Udinese have not lost in their last 6 games, but we don’t see them winning here. We don’t see them losing either, so we’re going with a straight draw @ 3.40

Both teams to score @ 1.65

Over 1.5 goals @ 1.26

Cremonense vs Napoli

Min-Jae Kim and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia have been the summer signings that have galvanized Napoli’s season to this level but all over the squad, there are players who have stepped up in a big way this season as well.

Zambo Anguissa has become capable of contributing further forward in addition to his defensive duties. Piotr Zielinski has already contributed 4 goals and 5 assists this season and the absence of Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has not been as damaging as it would have been in previous seasons due to his replacements, Giovanni Simeone and Giacomo Raspadori stepping up big time.

In this match between the 1st and the 2nd-worst team in the Italian Serie A, the question most punters have is “by how much will Napoli win?”

Our picks:

Napoli to win @ 1.45

Over 2.5 goals @ 1.62

Both teams to score (NG) @ 2.03
