Napoli vs FC Barcelona: Europa League Match Preview & Betting Predictions
Both teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw at the Camp Nou last week. Due to the away goals rule, Napoli would have had the advantage in previous seasons but as away goals don’t count this year, one team must win by at least a goal or win a penalty shootout to advance to the next round of the Europa League.
Napoli are as dangerous as ever and will look to Victor Osimhen for goals as usual. The Nigerian striker was subdued in the first leg and will have to be at his best for the Neapolitan side to advance. Further back, Koulibaly will be tasked with organizing the rearguard to deal with Barcelona’s attacking trio.
Barcelona will be confident that they can advance to the next round. Messi leaving Barcelona caused some problems at first but this January, they clearly prioritized the signing of attacking players and it looks to be paying off – they have scored 12 goals in their last 5 games. Aubameyang already seems to be back to his best and will be a handful for the Napoli rearguard, along with Adama Traoré and Ferran Torres.

Napoli vs FC Barcelona Team News
Napoli will be without established first-team players such as Hirving Lozano, Matteo Politano, André-Frank Anguissa, and Manchester United loanee Axel Tuanzebe. Luciano Spalletti will have access to key players such as Osimhen, Koulibaly, Ruiz, and Meret.
Ansu Fati, Dani Alves, Samuel Umtiti, Sergi Roberto, and Eric Garcia of are all injured and are unlikely to play tomorrow. Expect to see these players in the Barcelona line up tomorrow: Araujo and Pique in defense, Pedri, Frenkie de Jong, and Busquets in midfield, and Aubameyang, Ferran Torres, and either Adama Traoré or Ousmane Dembele, who has worked his way back into Xavi’s first team plans.
Napoli vs FC Barcelona Prediction
This one is a little hard to predict. Both teams have glaring flaws that can be targeted so we expect this one to be decided by whichever team exploits the other team’s weaknesses better.
Barcelona have the best attack in this competition and will expect to reach the Europa League final. Due to that forward line alone, they should score in this game. Napoli will be no pushovers, however. They’re at home and with Osimhen back in form and roared on by the passionate home fans, we expect the Italians to score as well.
