Top signings of 2021-22 season in the English Premiership
The Premier League, in contrast to the rest of Europe, continues to fly, with several clubs spending large sums of money. There will be a number of elite European/domestic recruits competing in the 2021/22 Premier League.
We’ve selected a few of the best additions who should have a huge impact on the season.
Jack Grealish has signed a six-year contract with English Premier League winner Manchester City. Having spent eight seasons at Aston Villa, Grealish has appeared in 213 games and scored 32 goals.
As a midfielder and forward, Grealish will be contending with a stellar attack for positions with players like Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez, Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, and Ferran Torres, all contending for five starting slots up for grabs.
Will he be able to prove a point immediately or become a huge transfer flop? Let’s see.
As a 17-year-old, Lukaku joined Chelsea from Belgian side Anderlecht in 2011. He now earns £200,000 a week after tax, making him Chelsea’s highest-paid player.
Transforming into a prolific striker in Europe after departing Chelsea in 2014, Lukaku tallied 87 goals in 162 games for Everton between 2014 and 2017, then 42 goals in 96 games for Manchester United before joining Inter in 2019.
His 24 goals in Serie A last season helped his Inter Milan win their first title in 11 years, ending Juventus’ nine-year hegemony as champions of Italy.
We will be waiting to see if Lukaku’s impact is enough to push the club to contend for the premier league title.
Jadon Sancho

Manchester United signed Jadon Sancho for £73m after a fierce pursuit. In his final season with Dortmund, he won the German Cup and scored 50 goals in 137 games. The 21-year-old joins the Premier League team after spending four years in the Bundesliga with Dortmund.
On the right wing, he is anticipated to have an early impact for the team as they compete for the Premier League crown. We will be expecting to see goals and assists from Jadon as fans have also started adding him to their fantasy team as they believe he will break the Fantasy records.
Raphael Varane has joined Manchester United from Real Madrid. On a four-year deal until June 2025, the center-back joins United for a reported £41m including add-ons.
Varane took a break from Real Madrid after ten years winning a total of 360 appearances and 18 titles were achieved during his time with the club.
Varane has been a United fan for a long time. Prior to his move to Real Madrid from Lens in 2011, Sir Alex Ferguson was interested in the defender. He is expected to add steel to the Manchester United defense, most likely pairing with Harry Maguire.
Aston Villa sold Jack Grealish to Manchester City for a British record fee of £100 million, looking to fill the void they immediately spent some money on Bayer Leverkusen’s Leon Bailey.
Leverkusen finished sixth in the Bundesliga and qualified for the Europa League with the help of the Jamaican winger’s 15 goals and 11 assists in all competitions in 2020/21.
It has been reported that the 23-year-old cost Villa £30m in a term that runs through 2025. Aston Villa manager Dean Smith said: “Leon is an extremely exciting young striker with excellent pace and creativity.”
Tottenham signed a hot prospect in Bryan Gil. The Spanish winger comes from Sevilla as Argentine attacker Erik Lamela moves in the other direction. Spurs reportedly paid roughly £21 million for the deal, according to Sky Sports.
When he was on loan at Eibar last season, he scored four goals and registered three assists in La Liga as they were demoted.
He is expected to be one for the future, we will be happy to see his development this season.
We are expecting to see one or two more stellar deals before the transfer window shuts, as Harry Kane might move to Manchester City in a record-breaking deal. However, it has been an amazing transfer window so far.
